Adaraneeya Wassanaya today

As part of the 30th Sarasaviya Film Festival, three popular Sinhala films of 2004 will be screened at Sigiri Hall, Katugastota, from today.

Sarasaviya, along with sponsors the Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation Limited and the Hatton National Bank, are planning to widen the scope of this year's festival, offering outstation film lovers a chance to see some of last year's hot movies in their own areas.

Bandara Dissanayake's Adaraneeya Wassanaya will be screened today at Katugastota.

This will be followed by Buddhi Keerthisena's "Mille Soya" (Oct 15) and Udaya Kantha Warnasooriya's "Randiya Dahara" (Oct 16).

The 30th Sarasaviya Film Festival will be held on a grand note on October 27 and film screenings will be held in Colombo at the Cine City multiplex. Famous Indian artist Jamuna Rani will be a special guest at this year's festival.
