Hemas in Rs.120 million erp system

HEMAS Holdings Ltd went on line last week with the launch of its Rs. 120 million Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system making it one of the few companies in Sri Lanka to launch the system.

Managing Director Cargills Ltd. Ranjith Page placed the first order on line thus becoming the first to transact business under the new system.

Pioneered by SAP the world's largest ERP solutions provider, this system integrates core business processes such as manufacturing, sales and finance across the group.

This in turn enables value addition opportunities in areas such as process improvement, cost savings, revenue enhancement etc, thus increasing share holder value.

CEO Hemas Holdings Husein Esufally said, "With this we enter a new era which will change for the better, the way we service our customers and empower our employees with on-line information for business decision making, and support our mission towards our stakeholders".

Hemas Group Chief Information Officer Manoj Arora said that the Company will further strengthen its operations through this cutting edge technology, thereby positioning itself with a distinct advantage over its competitors.

Congratulating Hemas on the successful and scheduled completion of the ERP system, President and CEO, SAP South Asia Alan Sedghi said "This strategic project is a very important milestone for SAP's commitment to provide business solutions on ERP to companies in Sri Lanka."
