Jayasekera (Attorney-at-Law) and Lakshmi, sister-in-law of Indra, loving aunt of Lalith and Niranja Punchihewa, Sajee and Mahesh Lamahewa, Sitara, Pamoda and Dilum Jayasekera, expired. RATNAYAKE - NANDA THORADENIYA  Relict of Sardhathilake Bandara Ratnayake, mother of Awanthi (University of Peradeniya) and Indika, mother-in-law of Sarath Samarasundare (Telecom, Kandy) and Saliya Ehelepola (SKC Management Services), grandmother of Kshemendra and Manindra, eldest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Thilakaratne Thoradeniya of Udurawana, sister of Thoradeniya brothers and sisters, expired. School, Katunayake), loving father of Chatura (Student St  Joseph's College, Colombo) and Vinuri (Ave Maria Convent, Negombo), son of late Aloysius Rowell, Monica Rowell, son-in-law of Edwin and Leeda Perera, brother of late Bertie, late Lambet, Sybil, Praxcy, Christie, Neville, Iranganie, Gamunu, Leena and Ranjanie, brother-in-law of Malanie, Ranjanie, Padmini, Sunil and Chandrasiri, expired under tragic circumstances. Cortege leaves at 4 p.m. residence No. 395/7, Baseline Road, Halgastota, Katunayake for Burial at R.C. Cemetery, Raddolugama Seeduwa.  

SEBARATNAM - SAMUEL SELLIAH (Formerly General Manager of Paranthan Chemicals Corporation and Old Boy of St John's Jaffna). Husband of the late Purani Sebaratnam (Rtd Principal of Kilinochchi Mahavidyalam), loving father of Prakash Victor (New Zealand), David Suresh (Canada), loving father-in-law of Shooty and Marielle, loving brother of Thangamalar (Canada), Chelvaratnam (UK), Thurairatnam (UK), Gunaratnam and Rajaratnam (Canada), loving grandfather of Gabrielle and Jeshurun (NZ), Dilshan, Susan, Nathan and Jonathan (Canada), passed away suddenly on 5th September at Wellington, New Zealand. Cortege leaves Gee & Hickton, Lower Hutt. Funeral Service on Saturday 10th September at 9.30 a.m. at the parlour, followed by burial at Taita Cemetery, New Zealand. RATNASINGHAM - DR. SHANTHI KUMARAN of 51, Fintry Crescent, Bishopbriggs, Glasgow, Scotland, passed away peacefully in Glasgow on the 1st of September 2005, after a brief illness. Kumaran is the eldest son of late Mr. S.J. Ratnasingham of the Social Services, Sri Lanka and late Mrs. Amirtharanee Ratnasingham of C.M.S. Ladies College, Colombo, and grandson of J.C. Sabaratnam and S.K. Rasiah of Tellippalai. Kumaran is the loving nephew of Mrs. Ruby Ratnasingham, Mr. Satkunasingham of Sri Lanka and Miss Thevaranee Rasiah of London. Kumaran also leaves behind a host of cousins, nephews and nieces in Sri Lanka, Australia and Canada. The funeral will take place in Glasgow, Scotland on the 10th of September 2005.
