Sri Lankan Day in Maldives

A programme titled "Sri Lankan Day" aimed at promoting unity, goodwill and friendship among Sri Lankan expatriates in the Maldives has been organised by the Sri Lankan High Commission in Association with Sri Lankan Friends' Organisation here.

The programme will be launched on September 2, under the auspices of Minister of Labour Relations and Foreign Employment Athauda Seneviratne.

A friendly cricket match, married vs unmarried, to be played at Male' Cricket Grounds starting from 7 a.m. will mark the commencement of the programme. Minister Athauda Senevirathne will be meeting the Sri Lankan expatriates, on September 3 where they will be given an opportunity to air their grievances and various professional problems on a special arrangement made by the Sri Lankan High Commissioner in the Maldives M.L.M. Ali Farook.
