Sudaroli office attacked

Two grenades were thrown at the offices of the Sudaroli newspaper last evening, fatally wounding an unarmed security guard. Another person was also injured.

The unidentified attackers had lobbed the grenades at the Sudaroli office in Grandpass and fled, Police said. Police have cordoned off the area to search for the attackers.

The security guard injured in the explosion was rushed to the Colombo National Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Two vehicles parked nearby were also damaged.
