Ruhunu Hospital commences ambulance service

Ruhunu Hospital, which commenced business in a small way, has developed in to a private sector hospital of repute in the Southern province.

This hospital is the only health care provider, with ICU facilities in the Galle area, with the state-of-the-art laboratory, excellent channel service and with the support of consultants, this hospital is popularly known - the Hospital for all important services.

During the time of the tsunami the Ruhunu hospital extended their services to all victims offering OPD services free.

Plans are under way to expand infrastructure facilities before the end 2005.

Having recognised the need for ambulance services in the Southern province, Ruhunu hospital will now have the facility of utilising the services of an ambulance to cater to the demanding patient care and services which was not available in Galle. Arrangements will be made accordingly to the requirements such as - team of specialised Doctors and nursing staff etc.

These ambulances are fitted with the latest equipment such as ventilators, multi parameter, defidrilators, suction units for critical care management.
