The Sri Lanka Institute of Architects (SLIA) will provide an
opportunity for Kandy residents to get their housing problems resolved
at the SLIA Architects Work and Trade Exhibition opening at Queens Hotel
in Kandy from August 5 -7.
SLIA is keeping an Architectural housing problem resolution desk with
two Architects in attendance at this exhibition from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Central Province Governor Monty Gopallawa
will inaugurate the exhibition on the first day as the chief guest.
SLIA President Architect Rukshan Vidyalankara says, that this is the
second occasion where the SLIA is taking its travelling exhibition to
the provinces. The first one was held in N'Eliya in June. He says,'an
Exhibition of Architect's Work and the trade, akin to showing an
artist's work and his palette will showcase the recent work of some of
the members.
The illustrative panels will range from housing to high rise and the
interiors too. The trade segment will be a sampling of quality products
from the vast array of the latest building materials and accessories
technology available in the market today. |
