'Bole' succumbs to injuries

Wijesinghe Jayantha alias 'Bole' of Maligawatta who received gun sgot injuries in a shooting incident at Maradana junction on Thursday succumbed to his injuries at the Colombo National Hospital yesterday.

Jayantha was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital on Thursday night with serious injuries and later admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at the Hospital. The other person who received gun shot injuries following the shooting incident is receiving treatment.

Earlier, Maligakanda Additional Magistrate Ms. Ayesha Jayasena who visited the scene on Friday morning made observations and directed the police to arrest the suspects and produce them in court with a report of their investigations.

Colombo Central ASP Hemantha Adikari with Chief Inspector W.S. Nissanka, Inspector Dayal Deegahawathura, OIC, CDB Maradana Police and a team of officers of the Mardana Police are investigating the shooting incident.
