Smirnoff Vodka invests in Lanka
Smirnoff, one of the world's leading spirit brands commissioned a
brewing and bottling plant in Sri Lanka last week.

said that Sri Lanka has an exciting market especially with its growing
demand for tourism.
"We have tied up with ID Lanka Limited, one of the leading distillers
in the country to manufacture Smirnoff Vodka in their plant. Alpha
Orient Lanka will be distributing Smirnoff Vodka, exclusively across
Lankan market," Rajah said.
All raw material, imported and manufactured under quality assurance
standards of Diageo, ensures premium international quality.
Smirnoff Vodka is the first spirits brand to be produced from grain
spirit and it is available in three bottle sizes and would carry the
made in Sri Lanka tag.
Rajah also reiterated the fact the Government's revenue would go up
as lower prices would lead to higher sale volumes and exercise income.
"We will employ strategic experimental marketing activities in order
to sustain and build different brand properties. The Brand property -

we hope to recreate the magic in Sri Lanka too," he said.
