SLT on tariff revision issue

Sri Lanka Telecom yesterday issued the following release on SLT's action regarding the judgement delivered for tariff revision 2003.

It said "Sri Lanka Telecom Limited (SLT) considered the judgement, which was delivered on 25.07.2005 in relation to the case filed by Consumer Association of Lanka in the Court of Appeal quashing the approval granted by the Minister of Telecommunications and the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka for the tariff revision implemented in September 2003.

SLT decided to entrust the matter to senior counsel with instructions to seek Special Leave to Appeal to the Supreme Court against the judgement delivered by the Court of Appeal".
