Ratnam takes FA Cup

Ratnam Sports Club beat Saunders Sports Club by three goals to one to emerge champions in their FA Cup final played under lights at Sugathadasa Stadium, Colombo yesterday. The winners led 2-1 at half time.

Saunders took an early lead with a goal from M. Amanulla but Ratnam SC bounced back with two back to back goals to take the lead at lemons. R. Mohideen and Pushpa Kumara booted a goal each to put Ratnam in the lead.

The tournament is conducted by the Football Federation of Sri Lanka and sponsored by Holcim.

CH beat Army 24-18

CH and FC defeated Sri Lanka Army Sports Club by 24 points to 18 points in their Caltex inter club 'A' division league rugby tournament second round match played at Maitland Crescent yesterday.

The winners led 10-8 at half time.
