Lanka's tour of India in two stages

THE Sri Lanka cricket team's tour of India later this year will be in two stages.

Sri Lanka is due to leave for India on October 22 and return home on November 13 after playing seven one-day internationals with the home country. The first one-day international is provisionally scheduled for October 25 and the final game on November 12.

Sri Lanka will then start their second leg of the tour on November 24 and return home in time for Christmas on December 24.

During this period Sri Lanka will play a series of three Test matches with India in addition to a 3-day practice game. The Tests are provisionally scheduled for December 3-7, 11-15 and 19-23.

The venues and final confirmation of the dates are being worked out between the two Cricket Boards. - (S.T.)
