Romesh heads MRFA
Versatile Rugby Football administrator Romesh de Livera of HNB fame
was unanimously elected as the President of the Mercantile Rugby
Football Association at the 20th annual general meeting held on June 30
at the CR&FC Pavilion. Malcolm Jansz of John Keells took over as the
Secretary.
The newly elected President will have an added responsibility this
year to conduct the proposed Super Tournament, in addition to the 35th
'Sevens Tournament'. MRA inaugurated in 1966, so far has only conducted
the 'Sevens Tournament'.
