ACCA, strives for higher recognition
ACCA Sri Lanka has achieved many important milestones in its 2
decades existence in Sri Lanka, said the new president of the ACCA Sri
Lanka at its 28th AGM held recently.
He said that International Accounting Body has 200 members and 700
registered students in Sri Lanka.. The ACCA will strive for higher
recognition and status in Sri Lanka co-existing with other sister bodies
with self-respect.
He also said that ACCA Sri Lanka conducted a workshop for selected
journalists on "Corporate Social Sustainability Reporting " and looks
forward to the first national conference titled "Open minds-creating
global advantages for Sri Lanka" to be held in Sri Lanka.
Manager ACCA (Sri Lanka), Mrs. Ajitha Perera presenting the annual
review said that the Business Seminar Conducted by Rachel Jackson, Head
of ACCA Social and Environmental Issues and Dr. Sumith Pilapitiya,
Senior Engineer of the World Bank on the theme "Corporate Social
Responsibility - Is there a business case?" were among the important
programs conducted by the Association.
She said that ACCA had also conducted two workshops in January and
March on achieving a competitive advantage through the Balanced
Scorecard and IT Risk Management. |
