Tony heads shuttle Selection Committee

Former National player Tony Perera has appointed Chairman of the Badminton Selection Committee.

Sports Minister Jeewan Kumarathunga appointed a five member Selection Committee up to next year April 30.

Two former national women's shuttlers Samanthi Wijesinghe and Nilanthi Jayasekera also in this five member committee. B.S.M. de Silva and Ranil Pathirana are the other two members of this committee. The Selection Committee started their duties yesterday and gave approval to the four member team who will take part for the Nepal Satellite Badminton Championship which will be held from June 7 to 11 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
