Moors junior tennis from June 4
The annual junior ranking tennis singles championships 2005 of Moors
Sports Club will be conducted at their Braybrooke Place courts from June
4 to 12.
The events will be for boys and girls under the age groups of 8, 10,
12, 14, 16 and 18.
A competitor may enter for three events. Entries will be accepted at
the Moors Sports Club office till 6 p.m. on 30th 2005. The draw will be
held on 2nd June. Matches in the age groups of 8 and 10 will be first to
reach 7 games.
In the other age groups, the first player who wins four games, wins
that set, provided there is a margin of 2 games over the opponent. If
the score reaches 4 games all, a tie-break game shall be played to
decide the set.
When the score is one set all: one tie-break game shall be played to
decide the match. No advantage rule will apply in all sets.
This is a popular tournament especially conducted for juniors, who
require experience in tournament play. Last year's main sponsor was
Shiran Dissanayake of the ABC Group of Companies.
