Turnover tops Rs 966Mn

At close of trading the All Share Price Index (ASPI) moved up by 1.25 points to close at 1897.46 points and the Milanka Price Index (MPI) also moved up by 12.55 points to close at 2657.39 points.

Sectors that recorded highest gains during the day were Oil Palms, Power & Energy and Healthcare while Plantations, Information Technology and Motors sectors recorded negative growth. A total turnover of Rs 966Mn was recorded during the day with Diversifyied Holdings sector contributing 33.6% to the total turnover.

Market Capitalisation at the end of trading stood at Rs.486.9Bn A total of 7965 trades were concluded during the day. Foreign purchases stood at Rs.73.4Mn and sales at Rs.55.2Mn

Top gainers for the day were Acme (+15.63%), HNB Assurance (+12.5%), LB Finance - Warrants(+10.19%) and Samuels (+10%).
