Lanka to represent Chengdu Fair

Sri Lankan businessmen have been invited to participate in the 6th
Western China International Economy and Trade Fair to be held from May
25 to 28 in the highly populated Chengdu district.
According to an official of the Chinese Embassy, this exhibition is
being organised to link Western China with the rest of the world.
The Fair has been successfully held on five occasions and attracts
the presence state leadership, business executives and decision-makers
and financial tycoons. In addition representatives of major Chamber of
Commerce and others involved in industries and business community from
China and other countries too will attend this Trade Fair.
Over 200,000 exhibitors and visitors are expected at attend the fair
and business deals for over US$ 4 billion are sealed at each fair. Sri
Lankan businessmen would have an opportunity to meet directly with the
Chinese manufacturers and obtain dealership to market their products in
Sri Lanka.
According to M. Buddhika of the Federation of Chamber Commerce, (FCCISL)
Chinese companies who were confined to doing business within China
before the country opened out is keen to branch out of China. "This
would also give an opportunity for Sri Lankan companies to find partners
from China and also seek business opportunities on investment, trade,
economic and technical cooperation at the fair," he said. "This Fair is
an ideal opportunity for Sri Lanka importers," he said.
The FCCISL has appointed DelAir Travels, a subsidiary of the Delmage
Group to market the exhibition for Sri Lanka. They have prepared a
special four night package. |
