Act in unison to defeat UNP's no-faith motion - Dy Ministers' Forum

Deputy Minister of Ports and Aviation and President Deputy Ministers Forum Dilan Perera has requested all UPFA members in the Western Provincial Council to act in unison to defeat the UNP sponsored no-confidence motion to be tabled against chief minister Reginald Cooray at the Council meeting today.

In a press release issued on behalf of the Deputy Ministers' Forum, Perera said even a small issue arising within the UPFA is being utilised by reactionary elements to achieve their conspirational and reactionary aims which may jeopardise the government's attempts to cater to the needs of the people.

Therefore all strength should be mustered to defeat this no-confidence motion, he said.
