Ceylinco REVA electric Car launched

Sri Lanka's first electric car, 'Ceylinco REVA' was launched in Colombo yesterday. Initially the car would be imported from Bangalore India and subsequently would be assembled in Sri Lanka.

Handicraft exhibition to help tsunami affected

The Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCISL) and Hwk Koblenz Chamber of Germany organised a handicraft exhibition at the Galle Face hotel to help tsunami-affected industrialists last week. The event was organised under the theme, ‘Buy Sri Lankan help the people help themselves to overcome the tsunami’. Project Director Hwk Koblenz Chamber of Germany, Peter Rechmann said that they have decided to open a handicraft chamber in the Southern Province. This is in addition to the Kandy handicraft chamber. This proposed Southern Chamber would also assist to provide a market for handicraft manufacturers. CEO Hwk Koblenz Chamber of Germany, Karl Jurgen Wilbert was the chief guest at the event.
