Rotary and Nelu's train hearing impaired

The Rotary Club of Battaramulla, in association with the Nelu's School of Screen Printing conducted a two day residential workshop to train over 40 hearing impaired youth in screen printing technology. Nelu Fernando and Chamal Heendeniya conducted this program with the assistance of the staff of the Nelu's School of Screen Printing.

All mini lectures were translated to the sign langauge by the teachers of the school and each step was practically demonstrated. Director Vocational Service of the Rotary Club of Battaramulla Ajith De Alwis, pledged that the club will take this program to the next level by providing the trainees with income generating opportunities. A section of the participants practising their skills under the guidance of Nelu Fernando.
