Growth in India's exports
New Delhi, Mar 14 (PTI) India's exports during February, 2005, grew 8
per cent over the same period last year but the trade deficit widened
during the first 11 months of this fiscal to about 23.83 billion
dollars.
Exports during the month stood at 6.7 billion dollars compared to 6.2
billion dollars in the same month last year, according to the latest
data released by the government. The trade deficit for April-February,
2004-05, grew 73 per cent to 23.83 billion dollars as against 13.72
billion dollars in the corresponding period in 2003-04.
Exports during April-February this fiscal grew 27.03 per cent to 69.7
billion dollars compared to 54.94 billion dollars in the same period in
the previous fiscal. |
