The inquiries commenced yesterday when Army officials on Monday found the decomposed body from an abandoned well in Omanthai, believed to be that of the corporal who was reported missing since February 19.

Earlier C-4, plastic explosives were given to soldiers during an explosive detection drill which were later force fed to the trainee soldiers , an army official revealed.

The soldiers who were in a critical condition were admitted to Anuradhapura hospital.
