Twenty five houses for NKAR anniversary

NKAR Travels and Tours (Pvt) Ltd will build 25 houses for victims of the tsunami in Ahangama west to celebrate their 25th anniversary.

Managing Director of NKAR Travels and Tours (Pvt) Ltd, Nilmin Nanayakkara said they have already started the housing project and hope to finish it in May. NKAR will invest nearly Rs. 400,000 per house.

This community development project will empower with the assistance of our principal agents and partners in other countries.

The company unveiled a new name and a logo last February.

"We have realised that the old name would not accurately encompass the many facets in the company's current portfolio. Our new name retains the familiarity in the pronunciation, however 'C' of NCAR would be replaced with a 'K' as NKAR," Nanayakkara said.

The company has now grown from small business entity to a medium sized professional outfit. Our new plans are to make large investment in human resource development, modern technology and infrastructure development. We have set our goals to study, analyze and arrive at innovative approaches setting benchmarks in the industry, he said.

There will be monthly bonanza for NKAR's loyal customers where they could win Air tickets and special weekend packages from April to September, he said.
