LTTE trio brought to Apollo in critical state

Head of the Batticaloa Ampara women's political wing Kuveni who was critically injured in a shooting at Akkaraipattu on Monday was last evening airlifted by a special Helicopter to the Apollo Hospital in Colombo from the Kalmunai Hospital where she under intensive care.

Her colleagues Shashmadani and Aharnila who were travelling in the same three wheeler with Kuveni when it was fired at in the Kambiweli area were brought to Apollo Hospital in a critical state on Tuesday night from the Kalmunai hospital.
