Public Service Commission appointments

The Public Service Commission has appointed Additional Secretaries to twelve Ministries in the months of December 2004 and January 2005.

They are U.L.M. Haldeen to the Ministry of Infrastructure Development in the Eastern Province, Dr. G.P. Batuvitage to the Ministry of Samurdhi and Poverty Alleviation, R.M. Senanayake and Victor Samaraweera to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Land, and Irrigation, M. Lakshman Perera to the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and National Heritage, Mervyn Wijesekera to the Ministry of Advanced Technology and National Enterprise Development. Mrs. M.P.E. Rukmanie to the Ministry of Estate Housing, Infrastructure and Community Development, Ashoka Jayasekera to the Ministry of Ports and Aviation, W.A.N. Somaweera to the Ministry of Urban Development and Water Supply, Mrs. A.D.R.M. Pieris to the Ministry of Education and B.G. Karunaratne to the Ministry of Public Administration and Home Affairs and E. Wijepala to the Ministry of Mahaweli and River Basin Development and Rajarata Development.

Among the other appointments, 202 Accountants have been appointed to the Sri Lanka Accountants' Service in January 2005, states a Government Information Department press release.
