by Malmi Sellahannadi Samurdhi and Poverty Alleviation Minister Pavithra Vanniarachchi on Monday handed over appointment letters to 40 new samurdhi managers. The new managers have been selected from samurdhi officers who obtained the highest mark at an examination conducted by the Sri Lanka Institute of Administration. Among the officers appointed managers were 40 who had sat the examination in the Sinhala medium and 13 in the Tamil medium. The examination was held in 2003 for 400 degree holders in the Samurdhi movement. |
