Chief Executive Officer of Z Messenger, Janaka Rupasinghe said that GSM International Organisation has recognised Z Messenger as the best use of wireless technology in emergency situation at recently GSM Award Ceremony in France.

"We will also further develop many user friendly SMS based application programs and the company is planning to develop a facility for Shell Gas where customers will be able to purchase gas cylinders via SMS", Rupasinhge said.

"SMS is a powerful tool in Sri Lanka due to the rapid mobile phone penetration rate of 42%, which is the highest in South Asia.
