ISF recognises technical development in security systems The Industrial Security Foundation (Sri Lanka) Inc. (ISF) corporate body for commercial and industrial security has elevated one of its member organisations - Sunpower Systems Pvt. Ltd., with Corporate Life member status recently, in recognition of its continued efforts towards the Technical Development in Security Systems, a release from ISF said. Sunpower Systems Private Limited is the exclusive distributor in Sri Lanka for Gallagher Group of New Zealand that invented effective non-lethal electric fencing systems over a period of 65 years and proved to be the world leader in power fence systems for perimeter security and wild life control. In Sri Lanka, it has provided perimeter security for several strategic installations with total length of Gallagher Power Fence exceeding 1000 kilometers to date. Speaking at the occasion, Ravi Weerasekera, CEO, Sunpower Systems Pvt. Ltd., noted the most effective way of securing a property or premises is to keep unwanted elements out of the secured area. It can only be done by effectively protecting the perimeter with an active deterrent barrier that never 'sleeps'. Passive barriers like CCTV, Motion detection systems, beam systems (Infrared Red) can alert about the presence of an intruder, but is unable to deter them from entering the property. This has prompted the global security industry to focus on the utilisation of non-lethal electric fencing for perimeter security". He also said, a strong world-wide network of Gallagher Group subsidiary companies and locally owned Distributors and Dealers throughout U.K. Europe, Africa, USA, South America, Asia and Australia and New Zealand, helps ensure that each installation meets local customer needs and requirements. All Gallagher Security Distributors and Dealers are required to obtain certification on successful completion of training at Gallaghers' own branches around the world, to ensure their systems are installed professionally, with low levels of maintenance. |
