Eureka ties up with Qualys in USA by Sudarshana Perera Eureka Technology Partners (Pvt) Ltd tied up with Qualys Inc. in USA to provide vulnerability management services to corporate networks in Sri Lanka. The partnership with Qualys Inc a reputed networks security company will benefit local network system as Sri Lankan IT industry is fast becoming exposed to security threats. Sanjay Mendis, Eureka's Head of Marketing told a press briefing in Colombo that the new vulnerability management system could be run on any operating systems and the tie up will allow to counter threats and attacks on software and hardware solutions such as firewalls, anti-virus and intrusion detection systems. Mendis said that this new partnership is one of the major business strategies taken since Eureka Technology diversified its service and business interests last year. "We are equipped to provide an on demand security audit and vulnerability management in a professional and efficient manner. The new system will facilitate local corporate networks to improve workflow synergies among branches, customers and suppliers in secure and robust manner", he said. "Eureka's Corporate Data Solutions staff is trained to deliver hands on support to Sri Lankan customers who deploy Qualys solutions. Combined with networks security expertise and 300+installation experience the staff will now be able to deliver complete end-to-end network management services. Eureka is also in the process of appointing resellers in Sri Lanka to expedite the penetration of the product to the local organisations", he said. Qualys' solutions are geared to provide management convenience to IT personnel through automated processes. Qualys' solutions offer on demand security audit and vulnerability management to organisations of all sizes. The on demand technology also allows companies to avoid capital outlay for equipment and software, and eliminates traditionally labour-intensive operations.
