SMEs send 1,051 applications Commercial banks, development banks, finance companies and leasing companies have registered 1,051 applications amounting to Rs.1,413.4 million with the Central Bank up to yesterday under the Susahana loan scheme for affected tsunami's. The Central Bank has introduced the concessionary loan scheme under the title Tsunami Relief Loan Scheme or Susahana to assist the restarting of the micro, small and medium scale enterprises affected by Tsunami tidal waves. Under this loan scheme, the affected entrepreneurs are eligible to obtain loans at an interest rate of 6 per cent per annum upto Rs.100,000 for micro enterprises and upto Rs.5 million for small and medium scale enterprises. |
