She needs help
Eight-month-old Baby Pevinya Nethaki, has been diagnosed with a congenital cardiac abnormality known as Tetralogy of Fallots which requires surgical intervention.
Doctors have recommended urgent heart surgery in India at Madras Medical Mission Institute of Cardio Vascular Diseases to save her life.
This surgery is expected to cost around Rs. 800,000. The parents, H. K. Ranaweera, an agricultural extension officer and Dr. Mrs. K. D. Samarasinghe, a dental surgeon say they find it difficult to raise such a large sum of money, since they have been spending much on Pevinya's medication since her birth.
They have received Rs. 115,000 from the President's Fund but need the support of generous and charitable members of the public to raise the balance cost of surgery.
Those willing to help to save this baby's life are requested to remit their contributions to the accounts, (both in the baby's name) Miss H. K. P. N. Ranaweera, A/C no. 02-2088901-6, Hatton National Bank, Ambalangoda and Miss H. K. P. N. Ranaweera, A/C no. 209-505628-5, People's Bank, Ambalangoda.
