by Sarath Malalasekera A team of experts from the Interpol of Lyon in France arrived in Sri Lanka to assist the foreign disaster victims identification team, who are already in Sri Lanka to identify specially the foreign nationals who died following the tsunami tidal waves tragedy on December 26 last year. The Interpol team has set up an efficient database to assist these teams in the analysis of DNA profile, anti-mortem and post-mortem data. The Interpol team also have sophisticated communication equipment to obtain information from the affected areas to assist them when needed. |
