Hayleys unveils latest Fujifilm Frontier 570 mini lab in Lanka A new high speed digital mini lab which can produce larger size prints has been introduced to Sri Lanka by Fujifilm, which already has a share of over 72 per cent in the local digital photo processing market. The brand's sole agent in Sri Lanka Hayleys Consumer Products Ltd., (HCPL) said the introduction of the new Fujifilm Frontier 570 digital minilab enables processing outlets to print high quality images of up to 12x18 inches and output up to 1800 4R-sized prints per hour. A new digital imaging controller equips the 570 to print almost the same number of prints from digital sources as from film, contributing to an improvement in productivity, the company said. The Frontier 570 also delivers the highest image quality ever from a Frontier minilab, with advanced image advancement and improved print resolution. To coincide with the launch, HCPL has organised a series of demonstrations in Colombo to enable prospective buyers and studio personnel to familiarise themselves with the operations of the new mini lab. The demonstrations will be conducted in collaboration with representatives of Fujfilm Singapore and HCPL's team of Fujifilm trained local technicians. "This new machine is capable of processing a single order of 24 4R size prints in 144 seconds, at the highest quality in the industry, which makes Frontier 570 the world's fastest Digital photo processing machine" Managing Director of Hayleys Consumer Products Ltd., Rizvi Zaheed said. "This and other superior features gives our business partners and customers outstanding value," he said. The new digital mini lab from Fujifilm offers faster across-the-board processing enabling customers to do the drop-off and pick-up of film in a single trip. Sophisticated image-enhancing software offers fully automatic red-eye correction and scratch and dust elimination processes. Compact dimensions and three-sided maintenance gives users greater flexibility and space efficiency in the physical layout of the mini lab. With the engineering improvements the new Frontier offers energy savings of up to 50 per cent compared with the previous model Frontier 370. Supporting Fujifilm products which have been introduced to offer the high quality prints include the new Fujicolor Crystal Archive Paper Type II. "Five firm orders have already been received for the new Frontier," said head of HCPL's Photo Imaging Division Jude Silva adding that all installations of the digital mini labs are done entirely by HCPL's team of Fujifilm trained technicians. The high calibre technical support provided by Hayleys Consumer has been a huge factor in the market leadership achieved by the Frontier, he said. |
