NTC invite Marvan and Mahela Two leading Sri Lankan cricketers are scheduled to tour Darwin, Australia to help raise money for victims of the tsunami disaster, the ABC Sports reported. Skipper Marvan Atapattu and vice-captain Mahela Jayawardena were invited by Northern Territory Cricket (NTC) and the pair will join team manager Mohan De Silva in signing a memorandum of co-operation with the NTC. NTC spokesman Neil Dalrymple has said fundraising activities include the opportunity for the public to bowl an over to Atapattu and Jayawardena in a net session. "You don't get the opportunity to bowl at a Test cricketer every day and nor the captain of Sri Lanka and also the vice-captain," he was quoted as saying. "So it's a great opportunity for any young player or any old player who would like to come down and have a bowl at these Test cricketers." |
