Dr. Wickrema Weerasooriya Insurance Ombudsman



The Chairman and IBSL and SEC Dr. Dayanath Jasuriya and the Officer in Charge of Insurance Mrs. Lasini Serasinghe were also present. 

Dr. Wickrema Weerasooriya was appointed as the Insurance Ombudsman yesterday by the Insurance Association of Sri Lanka.

The President of the Insurance Association Nimal Perera and its Secretary Jagath Alwis inducted Dr. Weerasooriya as the Insurance Ombudsman at the IBSL Secretariat WTC.

The Insurance Ombudsman will be vested with the task of solving any dispute arising between insurance companies and policy holders and he will also deal with the duties to streamline the insurance sector in Sri Lanka.
