"Russia is sending mobile hospitals and epidemiologists to Sri Lanka hit by tsunami," according to a spokesman of the Russian Embassy, another two Emergencies Ministry planes are to depart soon to deliver a mobile hospital of the Russian Catastrophe Medical Centre's Hospital and an Epidemiologist team to Sri Lanka. The Ministry reported that a Russian Defence Ministry Hospital was going to be deployed to the Indonesian island of Sumatra in addition to the above hospitals. "Three Russian air force transports are being unloaded at Medan Airport in Sumatra, having flown in the hospital's personnel and equipment," the officer added. (Lankapuvath). |
