DHL provides logistical support, humanitarian aid

In keeping with its Global vision of leveraging our Global strengths to assist communities in need of support, DHL Keells (Pvt) Ltd responded to the December 26 disaster by providing logistical support and humanitarian aid recently.

The relief initiatives included transportation of urgently required medical supplies, tents and dry rations from the Bandaranaike International Airport to the affected areas .

Since the tsunami waves hit Asia more than a week ago, DHL has been responding to calls from governments, local authorities of the affected countries, and international aid agencies in providing assistance in the deliveries of relief supplies and in extending humanitarian aid.

In Sri Lanka DHL through its subsidiary DHL Keells provided logistical support through its delivery vehicles to carry relief aid to Batticaloa and Ampara Districts.
