Sri Lanka will be the centre point for the development of body building in the South Asian region when the construction for the proposed "Body Building House" gets underway in Colombo next year.

The 'Body Building House' will be a four-storied building with sophisticated comprehensive facilities for body building. It will consist of an, administration offices for Sri Lanka Body Building Federation and South Asian Body Building Federation as its headquarters.

In addition there will be a state-of-the-art gymnasium, a hi-tech auditorium with 400 seats, hostel facilities for players and a cafeteria. The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports will be supporting this project by acquiring the land within the Colombo city limits.
