Malaysian medical team in Sri Lanka

The Malaysian High Commission in Colombo, Sri Lanka is coordinating the assessment visit by the Malaysian Medical Relief Society, MERCY to Sri Lanka for the Tsunami tidal wave tragedy.

MERCY Malaysia is a medical relief society, with volunteers from other fields and professions and backgrounds with the objective to offer humanitarian relief and aid regardless of race, religion and culture. The visit to Sri Lanka is focused to assess the current situation of the victims in Sri Lanka with a view to providing humanitarian assistance, especially in the form of medical aid and relief work.

The High Commission of Malaysia and the Malaysian Association in Sri Lanka has also established a relief fund to help the victims of the Tsunami tidal wave in Sri Lanka.

The High Commission appeals to all Malaysian companies and members of the community to donate to this relief fund.
