Three domestic airports functioning by Shirajiv Sirimane All three domestic airports, Ratmalana, Palaly and Trincomalee are functioning normally. According to an official of the Sri Lanka Airforce the Trincomalee airstrip suffered minor damage due to flooding on Sunday. "However the situation was put to normal the following day and the operations are functioning normally," he said. Both Trincomalee and Palaly airports are very important since all relief is being channelled through these airports. The demand for passenger travel has not reduced specially for flights to Colombo from both Trincomalee and Palaly, said an official of Serendib airline. "All domestic airlines are functioning according to schedule," the official said. |
