GMG to operate Dhaka-Kolkata flights from Dec 31

GMG Airlines is going to start its direct operations from Dhaka to Kolkata from December 31. The airline has recently received permission from Bangladesh and Indian authorities in this regard. Initially the airline will operate two flights every week on Tuesday and Friday.

GMG flight Z5-006 will leave Kolkata at 1430 hrs to reach Dhaka at 1500 hrs. The return flight Z5-006 will leave Dhaka at 1530 hrs to reach Kolkata at 1700 hrs. The one-way fare has been fixed at US$69 plus taxes. Tickets can be purchased from the nearest travel agent or from any of the GMG Airlines nationwide sales offices. GMG Airlines started its domestic operations on April 6, 1998 and on September 8, 2004.

The airline is operating international flights on Chittagong- Kolkata sector and December 31 will see the airline adding the second route on its international network.
