Indices up at Bourse The market moved up marginally yesterday with the All Share Price Index (ASPI) moving up by 0.2 points and the Milanka Price Index (MPI) moving up by 3.8 points. The ASPI and the MPI closed at 1479.3 points and 2091.3 points respectively. A total of 1,300 trades were concluded with a total turnover of Rs. 122.9 million. The Hotels and Travel sector accounted for 23% of the total trades. Foreign investors were net sellers with purchases of Rs. 12.7 million and sales of Rs. 17.8 million. Investment Trust, Telecommunication, Hotels and Travels and Diversified sectors recorded noteworthy gains while Health Care, Banks Finance and Insurance and Plantations sectors declined. The top gainers included Browns, ACME, Alufab, Blue Diamonds and Bogala Graphite. |
