ASPI down at Bourse The All Share Price Index (ASPI) which started at 1,519.3 points yesterday closed at 1,518.6 points moving down by 0.7 points while the Milanka Price Index which started at 2,168.4 points closed at 2,171.4 moving up by 3.0 points. A total of Rs 132 million was recorded with a share volume of 8.7 million shares being traded. A total of 2,416 trades was concluded. Foreign investors were net buyers with purchases of Rs 15.4 million and sales of Rs 14.5 million. The Manufacturing sector accounted for 22% of the total turnover and 39% of the total volume. Investment Trust, Manufacturing and Heal Care sectors recorded noteworthy gains while Construction and Engineering and Motors sectors were the main losers. ####### Lanka IOC Limited - IPO The Colombo Stock Exchange has approved an application for listing of up to 533,333,338 Ordinary Shares of Lanka IOC Limited for a Main Board Listing. 100,000,000 Ordinary Shares of Rs. 10 will be offered to the public at the share offer price to be decided in terms of the Prospectus with the option for the Company to issue a further 33,333,333 Ordinary Shares in the event of an over subscription. The managers to the issue will be NDB Investment Bank Limited. The subscription list will be opened on November 29. The Prospectus and Share Application Forms will be issued on November 17. |
