Consultant Cardiac Electrophysiologist Dr. Asunga Dunuville of National Hospital, Colombo has recommended an implantation of a special dual chamber permanent pacemaker to cure this condition. The approximate cost of this pacemaker is Rs. 550,000 and the poor parents of this child are unable to foot this bill due to their abject poverty condition. Help save his life P. Liyanamanage (43), a father of three is suffering from an acute heart ailment. He has been advised by Dr. Prasad Krishnan - Consultant Cardiac Surgeon, Apollo Hospital, Colombo to undergo urgent Intracardiac Repair of SVASD+PAPVC to save his life. The surgery to be performed at the Apollo Hospitals, Colombo is estimated to cost Rs. 325,000. He says he is unable to foot this bill due to his present financial plight. He requests philanthropists and the generous public to assist his cause by sending whatever financial contributions possible to help expedite the surgery.
