Parcelhouse Technology Centre set up

Parcelhouse Technology Centre is a new company in Sri Lanka and has been doing the ground work for the past six months to set up the company while waiting for the BOI to approve the project to start operations. "We signed the BOI agreement on October 28 and the investors from Sweden have high hopes to build the company and to employ more than 100 within the first year. We are proud to say that we have secured key accounts in Europe and Asia-Pacific regions (Nokia and DHL) and the company forecasts significant growth in the future by delivering on the ambitious plans of these multinational clients, a spokesman for the company said.

Parcelhouse is a global information solutions provider for the logistics and manufacturing industries. The Parcelhouse group has its corporate headquarters in Stockholm and has regional offices in Sydney, London and Munich. The company's technology centre is in Colombo. Parcelhouse customers are specialised logistics service providers (3-4 PL's), manufacturing corporations as well as transport companies.

Parcelhouse enable its customers to create value by offering information solutions that provide advanced visibility, reduced costs and proactive control within their fulfilment and reverse logistics processes.

Parcelhouse customers appreciate these solutions because IT infrastructure is complemented and strengthened, reliance on costly manual routine is reduced and proactive measures can be introduced into the entire logistics network. Parcelhouse solution track and manage the flow of information between all participants of the logistics network. This information is constantly monitored to determine whether service levels and business rules are being achieved and to issue alerts if deviations occur at any stage of the fulfilment process, he said.
