Final solution should be within framework of sovereign, united Sri Lanka

The final solution to the ethnic question based on any form of power sharing should be through a Constitutional amendment and fall within the framework of a sovereign, undivided and united Sri Lanka, President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga emphasised yesterday.

Navy finds LTTE transit camp in Trinco jungle

The Navy, upon receiving information that the LTTE was maintaining a camp in the Palampatar Santhiri jungles in Trincomalee, inspected the area along with two members of the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission on October 30.
