People's Bank hosts 'Ethera Isura 2003/2004' awards ceremony The People's Bank recently hosted "Ethera Isura 2003/2004", an awards ceremony rewarding over one-hundred of its NRFC account holders for their loyalty and commitment to the bank. The winners of the grand draw received their prizes at a ceremony which was attended by a large number of prize winners and their family members, officials of the bank and special invitees. The awards ceremony was held at the People's Bank Staff Training College, Colombo in the presence of the Chairman of People's Bank, P. Amarasinghe and the CEO/General Manager, Asoka de Silva. As a mark of recognition for their long-standing relationship with the bank and also in order to encourage the habit of savings the People's Bank has launched several reward schemes offering valuable prizes for the winners of these draws. Apart from these rewards scheme, People's Bank also offers its NRFC account holders attractive interest rates and a range of benefits that encourage savings while also promoting the inflow of foreign exchange into the country. The first prize winner of the "Ethera isura 2003/2004" grand draw received a cash prize of Rs. 2.5 million, while the second and third prize winners were awarded cash prizes of Rs. 750,000 and Rs. 250,000 each. Meanwhile, one hundred winners were also awarded gold coins at this awards ceremony. The third prize went out to Mrs. W.K. Fernando of Marawila. |
