Cabinet memorandum on tank restoration project

Cabinet Paper 04/1174/039/018-IV, a Note to the Cabinet dated 15.09.2004 by the President on "Rehabilitation and Improvements to 10,000 Minor Irrigation Schemes" - (Cabinet decision dated 04.08.2004 and 11.08.2004 on CP04/0839/039/018 refers) - President explained the contents of her Note and the concerns of the Provincial Councils and some Members of Parliament, which led to its presentation.

Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation explained the manner in which the program is being executed and the steps taken to involve the Provincial Councils and the Members of Parliament of the respective areas with it. A general review of the program followed and it was agreed that the Minister will keep the Cabinet informed of its progress, from time to time.

Cabinet Paper 04/1227/008/041, a Memorandum dated 16.09.2004 by the Minister of Health Care, Nutrition and Uva- Wellassa Development on "Circulars issued without Treasury approval during the period from 26.06.2001 to 04.12.2001" - approval was granted to implement the Circulars (1) to (9) referred to in the Memorandum with effect from the dates given in the Circulars.
