'Air that We Breathe' will be the theme of the first national symposium on Air Resource Management in Sri Lanka to be held from December 2 to 4. The scope of the symposium is to cover a wide range of subjects on air resource management. It intends to achieve two major objectives. The first is to provide a platform for professionals/researchers in various aspects of air quality management to share their experience with colleagues. Secondly, it hopes to collect national experience, best practices and information and use them in policy decision-making on air quality management. The organisers - Air Resource Management Centre, Clean Air Sri Lanka are calling for papers on air pollution caused by indoor air, vehicular air, industry, power plants, open fire or forest fire with or without identifying the source. They also welcome articles on property or eco system damages caused by trans boundry air pollution or acid rain, climate change and ozone layer depletion, air pollution and public health and policies and economics of air pollution. The deadline for submission of Abstracts is September 30. Papers should be sent to Air Resource Management Center, 104, Parisara Piyasa, Denzil Kobbekaduwa Mawatha, Battaramulla. |
